Using this website

You may use this website for lawful, personal and informational purposes. You agree not to misuse it, attempt to disrupt it, or use it in any way that breaches applicable law.

Information on this site

We aim to keep the information on this website — including opening times, admission prices and details of what we offer — accurate and up to date, but it may change and is provided for general guidance. Admission is currently £5 for adults and free for under-16s, and the estate is open daily from 9:00am, with last admission at 7:00pm; opening may vary and the estate may close for private events or other reasons. Please contact us to confirm before travelling.

Enquiries and bookings

Submitting an enquiry through our form or by email does not create a contract. Visits, private tours, weddings, venue hire, filming and accommodation are arranged directly with us, and the specific arrangements — including any payment, deposit and cancellation terms — are confirmed with you at the time of booking. Admission tickets bought through our external ticketing provider are subject to that provider's own checkout process and terms.

Visiting the estate

Cerne Abbey is a private, working Grade I listed historic estate. Please follow all signage and any instructions from staff. Historic surfaces, steps and buildings can be uneven, and you visit at your own risk. Dogs are welcome on leads. We may restrict access to, or close, parts of the estate at any time.

Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, images and logos, belongs to Cerne Abbey or is used with permission, and may not be reproduced without our consent.

This website may link to third-party websites, such as our ticketing provider and Google Maps. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
