Information we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us. When you use our enquiry form we collect your name, email address, the nature of your enquiry, any preferred dates and group size you provide, and your message. If you email us directly, we receive whatever information your message contains. We do not use website analytics and we do not track your browsing.
How we use your information
We use your details solely to respond to your enquiry and to discuss and arrange visits, private tours, weddings, venue hire, filming or accommodation where relevant. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about the estate, and, where you ask us to make arrangements, taking steps to enter into a contract with you. We do not send marketing emails and we do not sell or share your data for marketing.
How your enquiry is handled
Enquiries submitted through the form are delivered to us by email using Resend (Resend, Inc.), our email delivery provider, and arrive in our info@cerneabbey.com inbox. Resend processes the data only to deliver the message to us. As Resend is based in the United States, your data may be transferred outside the UK; such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
Hosting and other services
Our website is hosted by Vercel. Some pages embed a Google Map; when the map loads, Google may set cookies and receive technical data such as your IP address, under Google's own privacy terms.
Cookies
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookies that may be set are third-party cookies from the embedded Google Map when it loads on the Contact page. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry data only as long as necessary to deal with your enquiry and any arrangement that results from it, and then delete it. In most cases this is no longer than 24 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email info@cerneabbey.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
Children
This website and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
